March is typically a transition month between sailfish season and mahi mahi season. So, while awaiting the tailing sailfish conditions in that hard offshore Gulf Stream edge, and the warmer waters that produce the mahi mahi summer migration, we head over to the reef and knock down some flag yellowtail snappers and throw a rod down on the bottom for some mutton and grouper. Although groupers are released safely (until May 1st), they add to some great fishing on the reef. A quick half day trip can produce great table fare during your trip, or we can arrange to have your fresh catch shipped back to your home.
